The Pula Arena

Standing proudly for almost 2,000 years, the Pula Arena is one of the word's best preserved Roman amphitheatres and among the six largest still standing today.

Built during the reign of Emperor Augustus and completed in the 1st century AD under Emperor Vespasian, the Arena once hosted gladiator contest for more than 20,000 spectators.

Today, it is a spectacular open-air venue for world-class concerts, film festivals and exclusive international events.
